About Me

Welcome, friends!

What started out as a place to update our friends and family when we moved away is now "The Seeds You Sow"- a place where I can share my thoughts on being married to the ministry, surviving (and enjoying) church planting, the ups and downs of parenthood, and other miscellaneous topics.  The more I grow in my faith, the more I find truth in the saying "you reap what you sow"... what we put out into the world comes back to us, so why not put more good out there?  I try and fill myself with the truth from God's word so that I can spread that good news to the world as well.

As for me? Well, it's a bit of a whirlwind really. In just over four years I met my now-husband, got engaged, married, and moved to Illinois to plant our first (yes first) church- a campus of a larger church in a small town of 4500.  While there we had our son, Jacob, and I became one of those cliche moms who says things like "He's just growing up too fast!" and posts far too many pictures of him on Facebook. During our second year there we helped get two more campuses off the ground and then felt the call to plant our own in Lexington, Kentucky. We officially moved in August 2011, met our sweet Lillian in September 2011, and launched our "third baby," TurningPoint Church on February 12, 2012. To say we've had a busy few years is a bit of an understatement, but I wouldn't have it any other way!

This blog shows many facets of our life with a strong focus on my growth and relationship with Jesus Christ. In the past I would have clicked off the screen after even reading that statement, but my life is so radically different and so much better since I started living HIS way instead of my own. My hope is that you will be encouraged no matter where you are in that journey and that this can be a place to be challenged and stretched, always seeking to be better.

Thank you for stopping by... feel free to come back anytime!
