I just uninstalled Facebook, e-mail, and Twitter so I wouldn't be tempted! I too am guilty of checking my phone while sitting with the kids while they play or when we're at the park. We will be sitting in our living room, him on one coach, me spread out on the other, both of us scrolling through various feeds and posts as our son plays on the floor. To make it even worse, we bought our son (nine months) a toy cell phone for Christmas. So now at any given moment all three of us can be caught in the cell phone prayer. So sad and things really need to get better.
Thanks for sharing your perspective on this. It is so crazy how little things like this can really sneak up on you and become big problems.
I too am going to make a stand to not use my cell phone for activities that take me away from family time. Starting tonight. Once I'm home from work, I will not use my phone for anything other than texts and calls until the morning. Nights for me will now be unplugged! You heard it here first!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
